Elizabeth has been designing products since the age of four when she first crafted a portable studio from a monopoly board for her hobby of making collage greeting cards. After winning numerous awards for her paintings throughout her time in school, Elizabeth decided to combine her love of art with her math and science skills to pursue a BS in Textile Technology with a concentration in Textile Design. She holds a BS degree from North Carolina State University. She has sought post graduate art studies at The University of North Carolina in Greensboro, and USC - Upstate. Throughout the years, she has fostered her love of painting and design in various mediums by pursing painting classes and workshops in painting and surface design on fabrics with experts throughout the south.
Recently, Elizabeth has been painting in fluid acrylics, watercolor, and alcohol inks. She loves expressing movement with the colors and patterns found in nature.
Among her favorites textile techniques are batik, marbling, shibori, and silk painting. She constant is exploring new techniques and mediums.
Elizabeth is excited to be offering workshops in both painting and textile surface design. She is currently teaching at the Greenville Center for Creative Arts. She also offers private "team building" corporate workshops in acrylic paint pouring that can be done in corporate settings.
Some of her recent paintings are for sale on this site. Her textiles are only for sale in her studio at the Greenville Center for Creative Arts.
Elizabeth wants her students to find joy in their art experience and to feel pride in their work. Elizabeth strongly believes that there is an artist in everyone! Picasso thought so too when he said...
“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.”
